The Educational Technologies master's program first started accepting students in the 2021/2022 academic year within the Institute of Educational Sciences. Today, the rapidly increasing scientific and technological developments, the change in the learning styles of the learners and the teaching strategies of the educators make it necessary to have knowledge and specialization in teaching systems and educational technologies in both teaching and management fields. The Educational Technologies program is a master's program with thesis that aims to focus on technology integration in education to strengthen and transform learning and teaching.
The Educational Technologies master's program combines management, curriculum, teaching and assessment processes with the effective use of technology; develop existing and emerging instructional technology expertise. It aims to provide the necessary knowledge and skills to lead change at all levels of classroom, school and education by providing an understanding of the important role played by technology in the understanding of contemporary school.
Students who successfully complete the program are awarded a master's degree with thesis in the field of Educational Technologies.
Master degree
In order to start the Educational Technologies master's program, the principles regarding student admission are taken into account in the relevant articles of the Eskişehir Osmangazi University Postgraduate Education and Training Regulation.
Recognition of previous formal learning in Turkish Higher Education Institutions is carried out within the scope of the "Regulation on the principles of transferring between associate degree and undergraduate programs in higher education institutions, double major, minor and inter-institutional credit transfer" determined by the Council of Higher Education.
Student admission to the scientific preparation program in the Educational Technologies master's program is based on the relevant articles of the Eskişehir Osmangazi University Graduate Education and Training Regulation.
Student admission to the Educational Technologies master's program through lateral transfer is made on the basis of the relevant articles of the Eskişehir Osmangazi University Graduate Education and Training Regulation.
It consists of at least 9 (nine) courses, a seminar course and a thesis, with a total of 27 local credits and not less than 120 ECTS. Seminar course and thesis work are non-credit and evaluated as successful or unsuccessful.
Educational Technologies graduate program aims to train practitioners and researcher educational technologists to create and evaluate products, processes, services and systems suitable for various education and training environments.
Another aim of the Educational Technologies graduate program is to contribute to the study of the subjects needed in the field of educational technologies and to the development of the necessary research methods, and to lead the way in the creation of qualified studies.
Students who have completed the Educational Technologies graduate program;
Educational Technologies graduates with thesis can work in companies that design educational materials and in academic staff of universities. They can work in the private sector as well as work in various distance education institutions.
Candidates who complete the master program accomplishedly can become a doctorate student if they have an ALES (Academic Staff and Graduate Education Test) degree and foreign language qualification exam score.
