Department of Curriculum and Instruction has been founded in 2008-2009 academic years and students were accepted for thesis and non-thesis master's levels programs. In 2011-2012 academic years PhD degree program has also been launched and the instruction has begun. The goal of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction is to educate experts and assistant experts to work at schools, at training departments of the ministries and institutions, and at the Board of Instruction and Education. Three different kind of graduate education are offered by the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, namely thesis and non-thesis master's levels programs and PhD degree program.

In order to start Curriculum and Instruction Master and Doctorate Programs article’s for student acceptance in Eskisehir Osmangazi University Graduate Education Regulations should be taken into consideration.
Acceptance of transfer students for thesis and non-thesis Master’s Program and Doctorate Program of Curriculum and Instruction is performed on the basis of article’s in Eskisehir Osmangazi University Graduate Education Regulations.
Acceptance of students to preparatory programs for thesis and non-thesis Master’s Program and Doctorate Program of Curriculum and Instruction is performed on the basis of article’s in Eskisehir Osmangazi University Graduate Education Regulations.
Non-thesis Curriculum and Instruction Master Program comprises of at least 10 courses which should not be less than a total of 30 credits and a term project. Term project is non-credit and evaluated by satisfactory or unsatisfactory.
Thesis Curriculum and Instruction Master Program comprises of at least 9 courses which should not be less than a total of 27 credits, seminar course and thesis study. Seminar course and thesis study are non-credit and evaluated by satisfactory or unsatisfactory.
Curriculum and Instruction Doctorate Program comprises of at least 10 courses which should not be less than a total of 30 credits, proficiency exam, thesis proposal and thesis study. Seminar, proficiency exam, thesis proposal and thesis study are non-credit and evaluated by satisfactory or unsatisfactory.
The goal of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction is to educate experts and assistant experts to work at schools, at training departments of the ministries and institutions, and at the Board of Instruction and Education. In addition, it aims to raise researcher academicians to Educational Sciences field, provide human resource specialized on the design, application and assessment stages of the curriculums, educated to make the best use of educational methods and techniques.
At the end of the Thesis and Non-Thesis Curriculum and Instruction Master Programs, students will be able to;
explain philosophical, social, economic, psychological, and historical fundamentals of curriculum development in education
analyze and discuss curriculum development process thoroughly
explain the teaching and learning process based on various teaching-learning theories
comparatively examine and evaluate the teacher training systems of turkey and various countries
conduct a proper program evaluation study in pursuant of program evaluation process
analyze needs and develop a draft program based on the needs analyzed.
apply the knowledge learnt in the field to solve current educational problems
apply the theoretical knowledge of the field to develop the activities in various fields.
identify and disclosure the current problems in the field of curriculum and instruction
analyze and interpret the data obtained in scientific studies in the field using proper statistical methods and techniques
apply quantitative and qualitative research methods properly and correctly
report the findings of researches in the field of curriculum and instruction.
present the studies in the field of curriculum and instruction in scientific arrangements, meeting etc.
use at least one foreign languages properly and accurately
have scientific and ethical values and conduct researches in parallel with ethical issues
evaluate educational issues and problems critically and reflectively.

At the end of the Educational Administration Doctorate Program, students will be able to;
design, analyze and interpret a scientific research in the field
apply scientific research processes properly to solve educational problems
report the findings of a scientific study in the field
evaluate curriculum development models from various perspectives
prepare a curriculum design in the concerned field of study
choose and apply teaching models and strategies appropriate with students’ characteristics, learning outputs and content
prepare and apply learning styles and strategies based instructional designs
be aware of professional and ethical responsibilities and behave in accordance
determine problems and issues in the field and develop proper solutions
make a decision on the effectiveness and appropriateness of a program by choosing and implementing proper program evaluation approaches.
be aware of current problems in Turkish teacher education system and generate solutions
follow scientific developments in the field and participate the facilities regarding.
