Computer Programming Department trains graduates who are able to appreciate current technologies and use this information to attain accession to the newest knowledge or produce the newest knowledge.
After successful completion of the program, students are given undergraduate diplomas in the field of a Short Cycle Degree in "Computer Programing ".

General admission and enrollment terms are eligible for Turkish and foreign students.
In Turkish Higher Education institutions, recognition of prior learning, vertical, horizontal and in-house transfers take place in the scope of “UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS AND HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS SWITCH BETWEEN PROGRAMS, DOUBLE MAJOR, MINOR AND MAKING TRANSFER BETWEEN CREDIT INSTITUTIONS BASIS OF REGULATION” which is determined by The Council of Higher Education.
In Turkey, apart from formal education institutions, an exemption exam is held for some computer and foreign language courses at the beginning of each academic year within the context of recognizing certificate or experience-based learning. Those who pass these exams are exempt from aforesaid courses in the curriculum.
A student is required to successfully complete the designated program of courses meeting a minimum of 120 ECTS credit requirement and have a minimum GPA of 2.00/4.00 and no FF, DZ or YZ grades. Also, a student has to complete an internship (total of 30 workdays).
The basic aim of this program is to bring up assistant workers for Computer Technologies by developing their theoric and practical knowledge. As well as including such courses as Algorithm, Introduction to Programming, Data Structures and Programming, Visual Programming, Computer Hardware, it also includes Research Techniques and Workshop, System Analysis and Design Courses and Computer Network Systems courses along with those which are intended to practice. The basic skills of students are established by practicing group and individual works thanks to those courses obtained during education process. With the internship, that makes it possible to conduct these skills and complete what is missing.
At the end of the programme;
• students will have knowledge and skills based on efficiencies gained in General or Vocational High Schools and supplied with upper level lectures and application tools; and be able to indicate the comprehension of basic concepts in that field,
• students will be able to define, collect and apply the data required for solutions of the problems in Computer Technologies and Programming field efficiently; indicate the comprehension of theoretical knowledge, and/or intellectual skills required for practical applications,
• students will be able to express the designs and applications about Computer Technologies and Programming clearly to colleagues, superiors and to person & groups serviced; be able to work within a team,
• students will have the ability to learn independently and indicate the comprehension to apply knowledge in Computer Technologies and Programming field,
• students will be able to indicate the comprehension of troubleshooting skill for unexpected situations in Computer Technologies and Programming practices,
• students will be able to control and evaluate the performances of the staff under their responsibility objectively,
• students will be capable of using effectual level of foreign language in related profession,
• students will be able to have the ability to use the specific required professional software, further from the basic computer access,
• students will be conscious and cultured about social responsibility, ethics and social security rights for the subjects about related profession,
• students will be conscious about professional security, health and environmental protection.
Having the ability of practicing, being able to be suitable for different environments, being able to reach the level to continue for Bachelor Degree Education thanks to basic theories which were formerly adopted.
After completing the short cycle degree programme, it is possible for the students to continue further studies in the first cycle degree programme on condition that they succeed in Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).
