Our school of Medical Laboratory Techniques for education and training started in 1990-1991 academic year. Program has a quota of 70 students.The aim of the program in the associate degree vocational school of health services is to give a comprehensive associate degree that provides to the students to train at a professional level of Medical Laboratory Techniques, to train health staff who used in methods and apparatus in clinical and research laboratories functioning especially in hospitals and other health care facilities and laboratories.
Undergraduate students who successfully complete the program are awarded in the field of Medical Laboratory Program.

General admission requirements for Turkish and foreign students are acceptable to begin the program.
In Turkısh Higher Education Institutions, recognition of prior learning, vertical, horizontal and in-house transfers take place in the scope of ‘’ UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS AND HİGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS SWITCH BETWEEN PROGRAMS, DOUBLE MAJOR, MİNOR AND MAKING TRANSFER BETWEEN CREDIT INSTITUTIONS BASIS OF REGULATION’’ which is determined by The Council of Higher Education.
In Turkey, apart from formal education institutions, an exemption exam is held for some computer and foreign language courses at the beginning of each academic year within the context of recognizing certificate or experience- based learning. Those who pass these exams are exempt from aforesaid courses in the curriculum.
A student is required to successfully complete the designated program of courses meeting a minimum of 120/240 ECTS credit requirement and have a minimum GPA of 2.00/4.00 and no FF, FZ or YZ grades.

Creating the ability to access the current information relate to the program To gain the ability to communicate and exchange information with the counterparts in the field of practice of the profession in a healthy way To gain awareness of application of the rules of professional deontology To have a basic level of knowledge related to the field of health To be able to use technological products related to the field To win the necessary hand skill of the applications related to the field To win the ability of the application of sterilization, disinfection and antisepsis To win the ability of the solving the problems that may arise during the professional practice in a healthy way To gain the ability of making decisions quickly and accurately related to the field Having information about the health care legislation To gain awareness of professional responsibility To gain the necessary knowledge and experience in occupational safety To contribute to the intellectual level.
Medical Laboratory Techniques Program Graduates: Our graduates can work in university hospitals, public hospitals, private hospitals, health centers, private clinics and outpatient clinics.
Students continue their graduate education with DGS exam. They complete license program in Biology, Nursing, Nursing and Health Services degree programs.

There are with a capacity of 30 students in Medical Laboratory Techniques. There are support of the Faculty of Medicine Faculty Members / staff and Faculty of Education, Faculty of Arts and Sciences for Courses in Medical Laboratory Techniques. Practice applications of students is in Education Research and Application Hospital of the University and other public hospitals.
