1-Genral Information
Department of Turkish Language and Literature was founded in 1996.
Department of Turkish Language and Literature has two main objectives: first, to train experts in the field of basic education and post-graduate education to prepare for them, and the second, the students of the Turkish world as a whole in comparison with other Turkish Dialects and Literatures level of research can prepare.
The department implemented a four-year degree program. Master's and doctoral programs, in coordination with the contributions of faculty members and with contributions from Osmangazi University Institute of Social Sciences carried out.
2-Degree Earned
Students who successfully complete the program of Turkish Language and Literature PhD Program PhD degree in the field is given.

4-Admission Requirements
Turkish and foreign students to start the program for the general admission requirements apply.
5-Recognition of Prior Learning
Recognition of prior non-formal learning and upright passing, level passing and passing in the university is determined YOK’s regulation.
At the beginning of each academic semester are organized exams of exemption for some of the computer and foreign language courses in recognition of certificate-based or experience-based learning outside of formal educational institutions in Turkey.
6-Qualification Requirements and Regulations
All courses must be passed in the student's program, should not grade FF, DZ or YZ. This program provide students and the general grade point average of at least 30 ECTS credits must be at least 3.00 out of 4.00.
7-Program Profile (It’s Aim)

8-Program Competencies (Learning Outcomes)
Having sufficient knowledge in the fields of social sciences and the Turkish Language and Literature; the ability to apply theoretical and practical knowledge to solve the problems of the Turkish Language and Literature in this fields,
The science of Turkish Language and Literature and detection of complex issues in related fields, characterization and selecting Appropriate methods of analysis and solving skills by applying these methods,
Create a text in line with defined objectives or finding appropriate way to gain the ability of apply about how to resolve,
Improving,selecting,using modern techniques and tools for the science of Turkish Language and Literature and the ability of utilization from information technology effectively,
Analysing of the text belong to the Turkish Language and Literature field or data collecting for to solve the problems, accessing to old and new resources for this, analyzing the results and ability to observation,
Ability to individual work and teamwork of disciplinary and interdisciplinary,
Communicating effectively in oral and written and using/improving knowledge of foreign languages and ability to obtain artistic gratification,
Awareness of the need for lifelong learning; access to information, following the developments in science and technology and the ability of self-renewal consistently,
The professional and ethical awareness of responsibility,
Knowledge about work-related applications such as project management, risk management and change management; awareness about entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainable development,
Knowledge about social, artistic, cultural and psychological effects of Turkish Language and Literature studies on global and societal getting information about local and global dimensions of contemporary problems
9-Graduates Employment Opportunities
Graduates of the Department can be a teacher under the Ministry of National Education, or in private schools, can work the Ministry of Culture, Turkish Language Institution, and TRT archives may become an expert can work in different units.
10-Jump to Top Degree Programs
Upon successful completion of bachelor's degree candidates to take the ALES score, or equivalent examinations and adequate level of foreign language knowledge is available on condition that they can study in their own fields or graduate programs in related fields.
